What happens when you take the mystery out of artificial intelligence and put it into the hands of real businesses? That’s exactly what we set out to do with the AI Acceleration Tour.
This isn’t your average tech talk. We kicked off with hands-on, practical workshops at Ulster University’s Derry~Londonderry and Belfast campuses, designed to show that AI isn’t just for Silicon Valley or big tech firms. It’s for SMEs across Northern Ireland who want to work smarter, solve problems faster, and unlock new opportunities.
These first events were all about cutting through the jargon and getting real about AI. Here's a taste of what attendees experienced:
We heard a lot of “Ah, now I get it” moments. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants saying it helped them move from thinking “Is AI really for my business?” to confidently asking “So how do I get started?”

That’s exactly what we were hoping for.
We’re just getting started. The AI Acceleration Tour is hitting the road again throughout 2025, bringing practical AI workshops to more businesses across Northern Ireland.
